Ms. Fahey


Ms. Fahey attended undergraduate school at Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec and holds Master's degrees from Springfield College (M.Ed) and Smith College (MSW). Areas of professional interest for Ms. Fahey include working with children who have experienced disruptions in attachment, early childhood trauma and resilience, social skills for children on the autism spectrum, stress management and anxiety reduction, multi-cultural education and character development in children.

My personal message:

Being the adjustment counselor at Franklin Avenue School is an interesting and rewarding job.  Since 2001, I have worked with families and students here to help promote the academic, personal and social development of all students.
As a parent myself, I understand what a big part the school environment plays in a child's life and their overall growth.  It is my hope that parents feel as if the counseling program is accessible to the changing demands of elementary school for their children.  Even if  I am not able to come up with the solution to a problem, I will work with you to get the help that you need.

October 15, 2013-Parent and Teacher Lending Library

I have begun to organize some books and resources related to a variety of areas of interest for parents, teachers and others who work with children.  These resources are available for use by anyone associated with Franklin Avenue School on an "honor" system as they are all of my personal collection.  For now, they will be located in the K-2 wing of school, just outside of my office.  A sign-out book will be nearby so that those who wish to borrow any resources will be able to do so.  Please call me if you would like to meet to discuss your child or any counseling-related issues which may be impacting him/her.  My number is 413-572-6369
